Reading
Nathaniel is finally starting to get a bit of hair-although he still has a beautiful bald spot on the back of his head.
Aren't I Lucky?!
Iain, after a little persuasion and a few threats, shaved off his paternity leave beard. I don't mind him with a beard that is neatly trimmed but if I wanted to kiss a mouthful of hair...
Anyway, every time Iain gets an opportunity to let his manliness grow, when it comes time to bid adieu, he likes to milk it by trying out a variety of "styles". It makes me laugh and I thought I would share how "handsome"he is with the world of blog.
The funny part is, I forgot to take a snap of him when he was clean shaven and he looks pretty darn good (which is hard to imagine after these shots). He has great sideburns too, which I have always been a fan of, so we are back to our prior state of marital bliss (insert mocking laugh here).

Update
Nate is 5 1/2 months old and my Mom has always maintained this is her favourite baby time. Who could argue against delightful smiles and giggles during almost every waking moment? Now that he can sit up, he wants everything in sight and it is a lot of fun watching how curious he is about his surroundings.
He had his check-up this week and he is 18 pounds and 28 inches long. He is trying to catch up with Mr. Finn!

Hmmmm...
Ah, the fun that can be had if you blow at the exact same time your mother puts a spoonful of carrots in your mouth!

Delirium
Iain found these pictures and I couldn't stop laughing. Not sure if it is from sleep deprived delirium or if they are actually funny. Just thought I would share.

The Cold
A nasty cold hit our house last weekend and is just wearing off now. Wow-I never thought I could exist on such little sleep and still make it to work with enough energy to do my job. It certainly is a challenge. It is bad enough having a cold yourself let alone your husband and your baby. There were two nights that were especially insane-every time Nate and I laid down, we would both start having a coughing fit so the only solution was for me to prop myself up with pillows and hold him while we both napped the night away. Tres fun.
Happiness Is A Couch Full Of Great Friends
I especially love the top one of us all genuinely laughing. We have done well, ladies!
P.S. I was looking at these pictures and at first I thought Heather had on some crazy floral "blouse" but then I remembered it was Nancy's "mama apron" - I love how you never took it off all night. Heehee!
