Then I walked around to the other side of the tree and was absolutely amazed by what I saw. The two crazy woodpeckers had carved a canoe up the side of the maple tree in their search for bugs. To give some perspective, the trench is at least 6 inches deep and approximately 20 feet long. It is something that needs to be seen to truly appreciate it.
